New Hampshire Public Health Association
PUBLIC POLICY
New Hampshire Public Health Association (NHPHA) supports actions to prevent gun violence, especially in response to the Uvalde school shooting. There have been more than 250 mass shootings in 2022, with the Uvalde, Texas school shooting being the 27th school shooting this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive. We have a responsibility to demand that elected officials act now to pass legislation that will reduce the risk of these violent acts. We cannot wait any longer to implement commonsense strategies; the safety of our children and our communities is at stake. Contact Senator Maggie Hassan and Senator Jeanne Shaheen and ask them to vote in favor of H.R.7910 and H.R.8.
